Michael Trempenau, known to the world as Mike Tramp, is the Danish lead singer and sole continuous member of the famous late eighties Hard Rock band White Lion.  White Lion was mainly active between 1985 through 1991. During the 8 years before White Lion disbanded they released four albums titled, ‘Fight to Survive’ (1985), ‘Pride’ (1987), ‘Big Game’ (1989), and ‘Main Attraction’ (1991) that spawned four top 25 hit singles.  In 1992, Mike re-united with Oliver Steffensen, who was a member of Danish Lion which was White Lion before they changed the band name to White Lion.  Freak of Nature only lasted four years and just releases two albums.  In 1996, Mike embarked on what would become a decent solo career.  For his second solo album Mike went through the White Lion Catalog and picked twelve White Lion tracks and re-recorded them with his solo band.  In 2023 the Danish singer and songwriter announced bringing his version of White Lion back with what will become a trilogy consisting of three volumes containing thirty-two songs just ten songs shy of the entire White Lion catalog.
“After sixteen years of solo playing, I knew that if I have to do this, I have to make it sound like I sound today. So, with bringing the songs up to date it became crystal clear that it was good and now we sounded like White Lion again, but with a modern and up to date sound. When I did ‘Volume One’, I did not know that it would evolve into ‘Volume Two’ and three. So, now we have finished ‘Volume Three’…. the main part is the sound of my voice, because we are staying as honest to the songs as possible, adding a little bit here and there, but that’s normal, right?-states Tramp
These final ten songs closes out this trilogy in a huge Mike Tramp fashion taking the biggest chances by changing several things even paying homage to Michael Schenker and UFO by changing the guitar rhythm of the intro to “Warsong” to a very similar rhythm as the guitar arrangement as UFO’s “Light’s Out”.

With this final chapter the Mike Tramp band brings a ton of passion to these White Lion songs showing older White Lion fans that they care just as much for these songs as Mike does.  Out of the 43 tracks from those four albums ‘The Songs of White Lion’ series covers all but 9 songs from the original White Lion catalog.  If I was Mike I would have probably went ahead and re-recorded the other nine.
Mike made very subtle changes to the songs just to give the songs a freshen the songs up and give them more of a modern sound.     This is something that I think all artists should do.  Labels had such a stronghold on band that 85%v of the songs recorded is nowhere near what the artist had originally wanted.  I think Mike did an amazing job with the re-arrangements of on all of the volumes.  If you are an older White Lion fan I really think you will like these newer versions and should purchase all three volumes.
