In 1985 after combining L.A.Gun's with Hollywood Rose to form Guns 'N' Roses guitarist Tracii Guns was either be let go or made the decision to leave.  Tracii Guns reformed his original band L.A. Guns with new members, Phil Lewis (vocals), Mick Cripps (rhythm guitar), Kelly Nickels (bass) and Nickey Alexander (drums) who was by Steve Riley{W.A.S.P.} (drums) that same year.  L.A. Gun's self-titled release actually was released seven months before Guns 'N' Roses 'Appetite For Destruction' however, due to poor promotion along with the huge success of G'N'R's first release the band really went unnoticed until their second release titled 'Cocked & Loaded'  released August 22, 1989 with the single "Ballad of Jayne"  released as a ingle in 1990.  LA. Guns disbanded in 2002 to reunite in 2005 than in 2012 Tracii has been a vagabond playing with and when he feels the music is write.
Tracii Guns created his next project called Tracii Guns And The League Of Gentlemen. On June 18, 2013, the band released their first CD titled, 'The First Record'. However, unlike the 'The First Record', this new release offers no original material from the band.
On August 19, 2014 Tracii Guns And The League Of Gentlemen released their second CD titled, 'The Second Record'. (boy isn't that original!!)  With this release, even though Tracii picked songs that many rock fans will be familiar with, there are still some songs that no one will have a clue that there even cover songs.  There is one or two of the songs the Internet could not even find.  Some of the songs you will be familiar will be, "Cinnamon Girl", Gimmie Some Truth" ad "Ride Captain Ride" just to name a few.

There is three things I dislike about cover songs, treat the song, the songwriter and the artist that recorded the song with respect.  As a musician and music fan I don't feel that is asking much.  Now that doesn't mean I want to hear it as it was recorded.  You can rearrange it as you see fit.  Just do not make a mockery of the song or songs!  Tracy And The League Of Gentlemen handled each song with true love and care.  They gave every track a refreshing updated Tracii Guns sound.  I will admit the release is not for everyone however, new young musicians who play in cover bands should check it out.  Because this is the way cover songs should be played!
