If any band is deserving of the moniker of Super Group, it has to be The Dead Daisies. Just look at their past and current members. All this past and present talent and a major record contract have still to elude the band. This is after releasing three full studio albums (‘The Dead Daises’ {2013}, ‘Revolution’ {2015}, ‘Make Some Noise {2016}) and two E.P.’s (‘Man Overboard’ {2013}, ‘Face I Love {2014} ). However, fame is not what they are after. They’re just a bunch of musicians who get together when they can to record an album and do a small tour, and then it’s back to their regular bands with their regular scheduled studio sessions and tour schedules.
Not to turn down a good opportunity, the band recorded a number of shows on the UK & European circuit and already made ‘Make Some Noise’ to blow speakers worldwide. So it was time for a live CD ‘Live & Louder’. The album was mixed by Anthony Focx (Aerosmith, Bad Company, Metallica, Santana) at Focxhole Studios and mastered by Howie Weinberg. They assembled a true monster in the vein of the great live albums of the 70s. You can feel the sweat drip from the ceilings, the energy of the crowd becoming one with the band, screaming, hollering and forgetting about the often mundane reality for a night of true Rock’n’Roll. Blisters ’n all, ‘Live & Louder’ is a document of a band in their prime, a raw slice of intuitive energy, an in-your-face assault on your ears.
Lead singer John Corabi adds: “We’re extremely excited and proud of our new album ‘LIVE & LOUDER’!!! A lot of the fans have been writing to us and saying how much they loved our records but were even more blown away by the band live!!! So this documents our last U.K./European tour, and also shows the world how truly loud and supportive The Dead Daisies fans are!!!! Thank you and Turn It Up!!!!
Of the sixteen songs on ‘Live and Louder’, eight are from the ‘Make Some Noise’ album with a couple of selections from their other releases. Also included are four cover songs, two that were on ‘Make Some Noise’, including a superb version of the Who's “Join Together” and a rockin' “Fortunate Son”, The Beatles' ‘Helter Skelter’ and Grand Funk's ‘American Band’ rounding out the non-originals.
I listened to The Dead Daises solo releases and I must say I did not care for them much. It wasn’t until I listened to ‘Live And Louder’ did I really become a fan. This live release is great!
In fact I would rank it up there with UFO’s – ‘Strangers In The Night’. I know, I know that is saying a mouth full however, the band sounds better live and raw than they do in the studio. ‘Live And Louder’ just drips of quality sound unlike any live release I have heard since ‘Strangers In The Night’ and I don’t care for live releases! It is very apparent when listening to these seasoned that they have a love for what they do and love getting together. It doesn’t matter if they are playing the Whiskey A Go-Go in front of 100 people or a festival in front of 10,000 they give 110%!

If it had not been for my fiancé saying I should give this disc a rotation there is a good chance I would not have listened to it.  Sometimes you just have to listen to your better half.  Because when it is all said and done the woman does know best.
Also included with the CD is a bonus DVD.  The DVD contains a 45 minute documentary on the band discussing the live CD.  There also is a 35 minute tour recap that consisted of live footage of the band while on their world tour.  Laced in between the live footage are scenes of the band backstage messing around.  This portion of the DVD shows the guys sense of humor.  Along with the interviews and backstage footage there are four live videos, the videos is, “Song And A Prayer”, “Join Together”, “Long Way To Go” and “Make Some Noise”.
Sometimes seeing or hearing a band live will make you a fan of the band.  That is what ‘Live And Louder’ has done for me.  As soon as I get the chance I will be purchasing The Dead Daises studio releases.

There are very few live albums that are essential release that belong in your music collection.  ‘Live And Louder’ is one of those releases.  Not only do you need to buy this album but also check the band out live.  YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!!!!
